EDGE Football Programme:

The EDGE programme for Year 7 students has been one of the successes of St Gregory’s School over the last 5 years. EDGE is a competency based curriculum which is taught every Monday and teaches students using a project based learning model. The programme of study aims to provide opportunities for students to develop 21st century skills.

These are transferable skills which can then be used throughout Key Stages 3, 4, 5 and beyond to accelerate learning. With so many young children playing and interested in Football we have designed an exciting programme that allows students to focus on the EDGE competencies by using Football as the vehicle for learning. The beauty of the Academy is to enable both boys and girls to learn and develop in an area they are passionate about. mSPORTi provide all the football coaching for the football academy.

Training sessions will be run by mSPORTi coaches who are working in partnership with St. Gregory’s School. mSPORTi coaches focus on talented footballers with a strong emphasis on a good first touch, passing and movement. All players will improve with the skills coaching, support, and encouragement that mSPORTi provide. mSPORTi are packed with experienced UEFA and FA qualified, CRB checked and first aid trained.
